STORY
A licensed consulting engineer and general contractor, Hubert is also an ordained minister and has served in the ministry for over thirty years; including pulpit ministry, youth ministry, music ministry, Christian retailing, and Christian broadcasting.
He is the author of the books Into His Presence, Sweet Aroma, Bring in the Glory, Sanctuary, and Deep Wells; and is currently ministering in an interdenominational church where he also serves as a board member and corporate secretary.
Hubert was born and raised in South Central Tennessee and still enjoys living just miles from his childhood home.
His favorite past times are watching Braves baseball and Alabama Crimson Tide football. He also enjoys playing guitar and singing on the church praise team.
The first volume of Fairhaven Forest was originally published in 2013. It was under contract to a fairly well known publisher. In 2014, this same publisher offered Hubert a contract without knowing we were married. They were excited to have husband/wife authors that wrote in different genres. Things progressed and we were waiting on copies of the fourth Fairhaven and the second June Bug & Kat to be delivered from the printer, when we got the news that the publisher we were with had declared bankruptcy. This left us in a quandary. We could no longer order our own copies of our books and, worse than that, no one else could order them for bookstores or individually online. This was the basis of the decision to form our own small publishing company. Fairhaven Media was born in February 2017. We've since added four more books to our list of available titles and we are very proud to say that many more titles are in the works for publishing in the near future.
It's been a long journey since the days of Sheila writing stories to entertain her younger cousins, to getting our first publishing contracts, to forming our own company. But it's been a journey that we wouldn't trade for the world! There's nothing like the experiences that come from good, honest, hard work. We are extremely blessed.
Sheila has lived in southern middle Tennessee her entire life, graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Mass Communications with minors in English, Speech and Theater. She and Hubert, own and operate their own engineering and construction company. For over eight years, she owned and operated Heaven & Earth Christian Bookstore and she is also a lay minister in charge of the deliverance and prayer ministry at her local church.
Sheila first started writing stories to entertain her younger cousins while spending time at their grandparent's in the country. She currently lives in Fairhaven Forest in rural southern middle Tennessee and daily enjoys all her woodland friends. She has written many children's stories, skits, plays, and Vacation Bible School Programs.
Her favorite pastimes include; reading Christian fiction, developing new products to accompany her books, and sitting on the front porch watching the squirrels play.
